Partington Cenotaph 2025

The Parish Council is pleased to share that the cenotaph area has recently undergone a full programme of refurbishment and improvements.

This refurbishment work was carried out collaboratively by the Parish Council Operatives,  Cllr Wayne Edwards, and the Broadoak Construction pupils and our local fabricator, D & S Landscaping and Ground Maintenance Services, all helped our Parish Council operatives in bringing the area to life.

The works included relaying the flooring and installing new metal fencing, creating a beautifully restored and respectful setting for our annual Remembrance Day service. It is also now a welcoming place for residents to sit, pause, and reflect throughout the year.

These improvements were completed to ensure the Cenotaph remains a respectful, dignified, and welcoming place of remembrance ahead of upcoming commemorations, and to preserve it as an important landmark for our community.
